We serve children 4 weeks to 12 years old. OUR S HOURS ARE FROM 6AM TO 10PM., MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. wE OFFER BREAKFAST , SNACKS, LUNCCH AND DINNER. ALL MEALS ARE USDA APPROVED. We are a licensed group day care center. Our purpose is to provide an optimum environment for young children with emphasis on each child’s “Multiple Intelligences, by Howard Gardner.
We have 8 different types of intelligence:
Logical/Mathematical: The capability to use numbers to calculate and describe facts. These children use patterns and numbers when they are thinking.
Spatial/Visual: the capability to learn through images. These children think with images. They are able to draw, create and visualize the solutions to problems.
Interpersonal: The ability to lead and organize others. These children make and keep friends. They learn together with other children.
Verbal/Linguistic: The ability to communicate their ideas and think with words. These children have a wide rich vocabulary and interest in books.
Bodily/Kinesthetic: The ability to communicate through body language. These children have excellent body language and interests in sports.
Naturalistic: The ability to distinguish and classify plants, minerals, and animals. These children are our little explorers.
Intrapersonal: The ability to understand self. These children know who they are and what they want and need.
Musical: The ability to understand musical techniques.
These children have interest in singing our sounds.
Our goal is to incorporate activities in our daily curriculum that stimulate all these intelligences.
Some of these activities may include: help children understand how to deal with their own fears and wishes, gain self-esteem, play outdoor games, play problem solving games, sing songs, learn new words, tell stories, experiment to learn cause and effect, art, creativity, use manipulative to help them understand numbers, explore the natural world etc..
All of our students will be provided with a stimulating
environment full of positive learning experiences. |
