I have been married for over 10 years, and we have two beautiful daughters. They LOVE having babies to "help" me with in the childcare! We enjoy baking, playing outside, and going to the zoo, the library, the gym and a multitude of other places that keep us young and active. I have a very musical background, so we do a lot of singing and dancing here. I always have music (usually classical) playing while the children nap. I also love to cook, so I became a Pampered Chef consultant in August of 2005. Cooking is a great way to teach the children numbers, basic fractions, and how to
follow directions.
My Philosophy:
My philosophy is to keep my numbers low and my enthusiasm high! I usually have 3 or 4 children total, including my own. I like to keep my group small so the children can all enjoy more one-on-one time, and it also allows us to go on more outings. I find children enjoy learning their numbers, letters, colors, and other basics when we do it on the go. Even a mundane trip to the grocery store can be a GREAT learning tool for curious and enthusiastic little minds. The best lesson I have learned in my years of caring for children is that you can NEVER underestimate how much they are able to learn and understand no matter what their ages!
