We are a licensed and credentialed family childcare provider servicing the familes of Calvert County, Maryland. We offer care for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years old.
We believe that each child is an unique individual. We strive to provide a loving, nurturing, and creative environment for the children. We take into consideration the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical needs of each child when planning our daily curriculum. Our program is developmentally appropriate and focuses on the process of learning rather than the final product that the child creates. We encourage a love for learning.
The physical environment is clean, safe, healthy, and child friendly. The home is arranged to encourage play and learning choices at different developmental levels. We have many learning centers to encourage the children to explore their environment through meaningful hands-on experiences and most importantly to feel successful. The strength of our program is the experience and dedication of our Provider, Debbie Shaffer. She has a degree in Management and is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. She is very involved in the Calvert County Family Daycare Association and the Maryland State Daycare Association. Debbie has the knowledge and proper training needed to create a loving, caring, nurturing atmosphere that supports each child's creativity and positive self-image.
