Jiggle Sprouts is a group family, home-based learning center which offers the benefits of a home environment and the quality and structure of an outstanding daycare/preschool curriculum.
JiggleSprouts started after Owner/Provider Susan Coronel began looking for local daycare and preschool options for her two children, Benjamin and Juliana, now ages 1 and 3. Unable to find a program that would meet the academic and emotional/social needs of her children, she began to envision a program that would teach her children, as well as the children of like-minded moms in the community and surrounding areas. Susan created a program that teaches the cooperative and social skills needed for this age group and offers a dynamic, interdisciplinary curriculum covering pre-reading and literacy skills, art/painting, math, science, social studies, music, movement/physical activity and practical life (gardening, cooking, sweeping). Besides participating in the regular program, your children will go on field trips in the community and invite you, their parents, to participate in special events and class trips. Your child will receive weekly progress reports and receive instruction in piano if they are at least 3 years old. Your child will also be exposed to Spanish on a daily basis, though songs, poems, stories and every day vocabulary.
Susan is an experienced educator, New York State, New York City and National Board certified, with 10 years of experience in the elementary schools. She creates an enriched environment of fun, active learning and play in her beautiful home-based learning center. As a mother of two children, teacher, writer, and pianist, she combines her love and understanding of young children to form a stimulating and caring ‘home away from home.'
Jiggle Sprouts offers a learning environment that allows toddlers and preschoolers the fun, spontanaeity and creativity of the early years, and also prepares them for school through the 3 Rs: routines, responsibility and the rules of social interaction.
