Discovery Family Child Care is a large family child care home with 10 children and two providers. We offer a very large indoor space which is ideal for young children. We have a preschool set up with large/small motor areas, circle time, reading, music, block play, science, dramatic play, manipulatives, arts and crafts, as well as music. We have a very large fenced in yard with play equipment for the children. We have daily age appropriate curriculum that incorporates cooking, arts and crafts, and exploratory play as well as many other activities. We offer weekly music and yoga classes. Kindergarten readiness activities include Everyday Math and Handwriting Without Tears curriculum. All meals and snacks are nutritious and included in tuition. The children will enjoy walks in the neighborhood, field trips, hatching frog's eggs and butterflies as well as many other experiences in nature. All teachers have extensive backgrounds in ECE and have first aid/ cpr, SIDS and medication aministration training. Lots of hugs, fun and tlc! |
