Children are trusting by nature and God holds adults who influence children accountable for how they affect their little lives. God gave me the verse Matthew 18:6 as a warning while I was trying to find a home in which I was going to place my six month old daughter in for childcare. It is that warning that made me realize how important it is to raise children in a positive, safe and stable environment. Some of the homes and people I met with let me with a strong impression that my daughter would not be taken care of in such a manner. That is when God started working on my heart, allowing me to see the great need for home daycare providers that would indeed help children to feel safe, loved and have a continued sense of stability in their lives while their parents are away at work. That is why I have quit my job of nine years and decided to start taking care of children in my home, knowing that I will be held accountable to God for any harm done to the little lives I am able to influence. We all know that young children are not able to speak for themselves and that is why I find it to be such a great honor and blessing to be able to be an advocate for such little treasures from God himself. It is my hearts desire to provide a safe, loving stable environment for children to come to each day that will still allow them the freedom to learn and explore on their own time and need, just as if they were at home. I also intend to offer parents the comforting knowledge of knowing that while they are at work their child is being encouraged to continue to grow into the person that God intends for them to become.
