By Your Side Child Care is a home based child care program licensed by the State of Michigan for up to 12 children. All employees are CPR and first aid certified. I believe a home based program offers a more personal and loving environment where caregivers and parents can work together in a comfortable and secure setting to provide their child with a solid foundation for growing.
A large part of a child's brain develops before the age of three, because of this I think it is extremely important to offer an environment rich with opportunities for learning. We follow a flexible daily schedule that allows for child directed free play, circle time, outdoor or indoor gross motor activities, art projects, singing, sensory play and more. Each week a new theme is introduced to the children. Then throughout the week they will have different opportunities to learn about or explore the theme, whether it is by reading books, creating an art project or role playing in the dramatic play area, each child will be able to learn in the way that best suits them. Concepts such as the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, the calender, beginning phonics and math, and some Spanish will be a continuous part of the curriculum.
Admission conditions
Children 8 weeks through 5 years are accepted.
