Dear Parent,
I welcome your family into my heart and my home. What I offer to you and your child is much more than just child care. I offer an extended family— a support system that nurtures all of us. It is often difficult for working parents to balance all the commitments and responsibilities in their lives. I offer you peace of mind where your child is concerned in a safe and loving environment where your child will be accepted, loved, nurtured and stimulated.
I strive to meet your child’s physical, intellectual, social, and emotional needs. I feel children learn best in a creative, play-based, natural learning environment. An environment that encourages play will prepare children for kindergarten, future elementary school academics and a love of life-long learning. Your child will grow every day by being offered concrete, hands on experiences that will foster brain growth and development building a strong foundation for later higher learning. Patience, cooperation, compassion for self and others, communication skills, self-help skills, curiosity and pride in accomplishment will be encouraged through participating in the daily activities. |

About me:
As the daughter of school teachers, I have worked with children all my life. I have 22 years experience as a child care professional and have attained a National Accreditation for my facility for child care quality standards. In addition, I hold a Child Development Teaching credential. I have served on the board of directors of the Family Child Care Association of San Luis Obispo County and am the SLO/Coastal chapter representative for our area. I have participated in many trainings and classes and continue to do so. I use my knowledge to offer stimulating, developmentally appropriate activities for all stages of your child’s growth.
My commitment to you starts with your commitment to me. For this support system to thrive, we must have open, honest communication. I strive to go above and beyond what most programs in our community offer. I am making an investment in your child and will give only my best. I hope that you will honor that by choosing my facility as your primary preschool program. I do recommend pre-kindergarten classes at a center when your child reaches about four years old and when we both agree that they are ready.
To help my family child care facility operate smoothly, you will need to comply with my policies and contract. Please feel free to share with me your concerns, problems, and those situations which affect you and your child, as I will share mine with you. I am looking forward to working with you to provide the best possible care for your child.
Welcome to my home,
Beth |
