Welcome to Genesis daycare. My name is Pamela and I am currently accepting applications for opening in late spring early summer. I have openings for two infants, 4 preschoolers or toddlers and 4 afterschool children. I will be registered with the state of VT within a couple of weeks. I have 5 children, 2 of which are grown and on their own. I am also an LPN and have been in the health care field for over 20 years. I have much child care experience with raising my own as well as caring for children in local nurseries and providing nursing care for a couple of pediatric patients with special needs. My goal is to provide a safe, loving and nurturing environment for you child; one that is educational and will help your child to grow and develop with other children learning life skills as they go along. My program is play based with room for academic learning as appropriate for each individual child. I believe that the hands on approach to learning is very beneficial to childrn of all ages. Another one of my goals is that as your child learns, and develops that his needs will be met socially,emotionally,spiritually,physically,and intellectually. I believe that children learn best when provided with a well balanced learning envionment equipped with appropriate stimulation and relaxation. This will be achieved through many hands on activities throughout any given day. As your child learns, no matter what his/her age, he/she will begin to understand concepts, relationships, cause and effect, size, color, texture, feelings,emotions, signs and languages. It is also my goal that you as the parent(s) of your chid will have an active roll in this process. I will commit to help facilitate successful developement of the whole child. I will recognize and respect individual differences among the children that are in my care. All children will be allowed to grow and explore with professional guidance and direction of myself as caregiver
The daycare offers a fenced in backyard for outdoor play also convienient access to Cascade park accross the street. Spacious rooms for indoor play and nap and rest/time. Nutrition is an important factor in a childs growth and developement. Genesis daycare offers healthy breakfast, snack, and lunch items.
Everyday there will be quiet time. Most children will nap during this time. Children who do not nap, will be given a quiet activity such as books, or puzzles or coloring. All infants will have a portable crib to sleep in. Diapering will take place every two hours or more frequent if needed. Genesis Daycare will be open/operational Monday thru Friday from 7am to 530 pm. We will be open on the following holidays: Martin Luther King day, Presidents day, Memorial day, Columbus day, Veterens day. Genesis daycare will be closed on the following holidays with pay: Labor day, Independance day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas day, and New years day. Genesis daycare will be open the day after thanksgiving and the day after Christmas. |

Certain forms will be requred and need to be filled out as part of the enrollment procedure. These forms will be updated once a year or sooner if information changes.
