I have over 10 years + experience with in-home child care. I am CPR certified for infants, children and adults. I am also First Aid certified & AED certified through the American Red Cross. I have taken child developement classes and keep myself current with the latest child classes. I have over 15 daycare references, personal references and letters of recommendation to validate my credibility.
I keep a daily routine for the children in my care. I find by keeping structure in my home it keeps behavioral problems to a minimum. I offer alphabet & number flashcards, feelings cards, sight words, preschool workbooks, play-doh, clay, music time, computer time, story time, crafts and free play. I do believe that free play is just as important as the structure all day. Allowing the free play allows the children to use their imaginations and relax.
I stive to keep a very low-keyed, laid-back, easy going daycare. I find that taking the time to find the right balance of children's ages and personalities allows me to keep this type of environment.
I have had experience caring for non-english speaking children in the past. I am pleased to say that when they left my house they could speak in English. They could count, sing the alphabet, identify colors, and shapes.
I am a very dedicated individual who loves children and has found my calling in life. Many families keep in touch with me after their child leaves for preschool or kindergarten. I am confident that you will feel the same about the service that I provide which is above and beyond.
Admission conditions
I do have 2 cats which are not allowed to play or interact with the children. I also have 2 dogs which are either in their kennels inside or they are outside. The dogs never interact with the daycare children.
