We are a family owned and operated in home childcare center since 2001 out of hurst but we moved and are newly opened in weatherford. We were nominated for family in home childcare provider of the year for 2009 in the state of texas with campfire usa. We currently are enrolling to start fresh at our new location.
We are not an educational center. However
we teach a little from each of the following ways:
development/play based:
children are encouraged to learn through activities that are appropriate to their ages and individual stages of development.
Reggio emilia:
this whole-child system of early childhood education emphasizes art, creativity,and the child's enviroment and interests.
Waldorf:
this philosophy emphasizes developing the child's intellectual powers in harmony with the feelings and active aspects of his/her nature.
Bank street:
this philosophy emphasizes a child-centered,developmental approach and learning through experience.
High/scope:
learning through " active involvement with people,materials, events and ideas.
We see all our children as little members of our family . So in my home/center we treat them like family . Children learn to clean up after themselves , help during snack time , share toys , learn to take care of themselves, help care of pets, learn how to behave properly during outings , and much more.
Children strive for developmental control. If you can teach them what is right and what is wrong it helps the child behave properly instead of acting out
a few extras things we offer are:
*since we are a home based childcare our level of care is more one on one because we keep our children to teacher ratio low.
*we have two rooms for play one for walkers age 2-up and one for non-walkers age birth - 1 year that way no one gets stepped on or seriously hurt. *we do help with potty training and are on a schedule to help the child progress. (children have thier own bathroom )
* we have set feeding times , but when the meal drink is done ,water is provided in your child cup all day .( unless directed by parent)
*we have daily animal interactions to show pet care,safety and animal bonding.
* we have daily outdoor time depending on weather conditions.
* i also like to have fun with my daycare parents so every six months we have a family potluck night . Thats when all families can come over with the kids bring a dish to enjoy a potluck meal, play games, relax, and just have a good time.
* we do theme days out of the month just for fun the kids can dress up all day if they wish and on holidays we throw parties for the kids and parents.

Admission conditions |
