Currently, I am serving only children of teachers who do not need care over the summer. I do not require teachers to pay me over the summer to maintain their child's slot. I just require a one-time deposit. My home daycare is fully licensed and permitted through the City of Fairfax, VA. I currently care for 2 toddlers and 1 preschooler. I am a mother of two young teenagers and have been in business for over 11 years. The number of children I care for does not exceed five. In addition to meeting the physical needs of infants and toddlers, I teach them to care about themselves and others. I do try to get the children outside for fresh air and play often in my fully fenced, large, kid-friendly backyard. I promote early literacy and teach basic preschool curriculum once they are over age 2. I promote free play so that they can exercise their imaginations and creativity. We do play safety and learning type games. I am a mother and have a great deal of experience with infants, etc. I supervised a large church nursery for more than 3 years and taught Sunday School for toddlers up to elementary students. I wish all mothers could be at home to raise their children, although I do my best to assist the ones who cannot.
