Description

ABOUT ME

I have been a licensed childcare provider in the state of Colorado for seventeen years. I opened my home for childcare when my husband was shipped overseas. My boys needed me at home. By opening my home to care for children, I could not only be home with my own children, but offer quality childcare to other children as well. I know I went into this with purely selfish reasons, but I finally found my niche in life. I love working with children.

As a home childcare provider I offer the opportunity for your child to be cared for in a loving, and nurturing home environment. In my home your child will get the one-on-one attention that they will not get in a daycare center. Unlike a center, when you drop your child off with me you will know who is taking care of the your child. When you go off for the day you will have peace of mind knowing that your child will be safe, loved, and cared for in a manner that they deserve. I believe that the parent-provider communication is key to the welfare of your child. We are an extension of each other.

Several years ago, I was given the opportunity to participate in a program sponsored by the Department of Labor. They paid for all of my college classes in Early Childhood Education so that I can be director qualified. I am trained through the State of Colorado in CPR/First Aid, Medication, and Universal Precautions. I am continuously taking classes to help me gain information so that I can better care for your children. Most of my experience has been gained from raising my own children and taking care of my extended families children.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that children learn best when they are in a safe, positive, and nurturing atmosphere. I promote a setting that encourages children to develop and grow at their own pace. Every day is a learning experience. Each child is encouraged to explore and interact with other children. I offer a balance of active and quiet activities that contribute to the social, emotional, intellectual, physical and individual development of each child. On a continuous basis I work on building self-confidence, encouraging your child to become a happy, socially developed child. Music, art, and exercise will be offered as well as plenty of free playtime. Daily outside activities will be provided as weather permits. Most of all, my goal is to help your child to safely enjoy his/her day while in my care.
