Comfort Care provides children, (infants through kindergarten,) with a safe, nurturing, and family atmosphere in which to grow and learn,
striving to provide a home away from home for your child by loving, and encouraging your child to be all that they can be. Learning how to interact with others is an important trait we work on daily and the kids here love each other and consider each other to be friends. There are currently three families who have been with Comfort Care for two years or longer, and one family with more than one child attending.
To enhance the children's safety, Comfort Care only uses the open, and spacious main level of the home for activities. We have a large play room equipped with developmentally appropriate toys, puzzles, and games and a sleep room where we take naps, read books and do other quiet activities. There is a large, gated deck and a fenced yard for daily outdoor play with many riding toys, balls, a water table, sandbox, etc.
Miss Cindy provides preschool activities daily for children starting at around 2 years old, which include activities with colors, shapes, numbers, letters, and a variety of art and craft projects. In addition, reading books aloud is a favorite activity throughout the day and Miss Cindy adds to the library of books on a regular basis. We are a Christian family, and we may include Bible stories, and Christian songs, and activities at various times.
Comfort Care participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP,) which ensures your child will be given nutritious meals and snacks.
Miss Cindy has an AA degree in Child Care and has experience in both in-home child care and day care environments. She is a member in good standing with both the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the National Association of Family Child Care. Miss Cindy homeschooled her 8 children for over 20 years (4 boys, and 4 girls.)
Miss Cindy keeps her certification in First Aid and Infant, Child, & Adult CPR current and takes continuing education classes each year in nutrition and child development.
Comfort Care is fully licensed with the State of Kansas and is insured as a day care home.
