I like to keep my group size at 4-6 children. I care for children 8 weeks - 6 years. I will take school children when school is not in session as well. I develop excellent relationships with the children and we have a lot of fun.
I run a semi-structured program. I do have a preschool curriculum which I use with the children which includes ABC's/123's recognition and writing, activity sheets, arts & crafts, kindergarten readiness activities, storytime, etc.
I also believe that children need free play to learn how to get along with others, use their imagination, socialize, etc.
Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
