The Heart and Hands curriculum is a play based, non-academic approach to developing skills needed for a firm foundation in later academic and social success. The children develop feelings of security, accomplishment, and self-esteem while living the daily and weekly rhythms that are woven into the cycle of the year. Weekly we enjoy arts and craft, coloring, baking, gardening, and household tasks. Daily we sing, move, do art, tell stories, and play. Throughout the year we gather to celebrate life as a community. Nutritious vegetarian meals and snacks are served thoughout the day. The children love to pick fresh veggies from our family-maintained garden The full day program is from 7:45 to 5:30. The part time program is from 7:45 to 5:30. Children may attend from two to five days a week. Parents are encouraged to bring and share their skills and passions.
