I am a licensed daycare provider in Great Bend, KS. I run the daycare out of my own home and my current hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. I have two children of my own (both daughters, ages 5 and 2.) I have a lot of childcare experience, I am CPR and first aid certified by the Red Cross and I have references. I charge a flat monthly rate for childcare, which is $300 per child, per month. Please contact me for more information. I currently do not accept SRS payments though.
In my home, we read a lot. I have a large collection of books and it is one of our favorite activities. Aside from that, we do crafts of all kinds, spend time outside in my large backyard, sing songs, cook/bake and of course, play. We have a lot of toys! We have a routine everyday that we follow but I am not super strict. For instance, I do not follow a timed schedule. If the children are having fun doing something, I will not stop them because it's time to start something else. I feel children learn better when they are happy, playing and engaged in activity rather than being told what to do, and when to do it. The only time I am strict is when it is time to eat. I do not have cable TV in my home but I do have a DVD player and movies. We do sometimes watch movies and programs in that manner. I have a vast collection of children's shows and movies ranging from Sesame Street to Disney to Veggietales. I do not have any pets so no need to worry about that.
