The mission of my family home daycare is to provide a safe, secure and comforting environment that will enable your child to be creative, learn self assurance, develop social skills and utilize their imagination.
My philosophy is to strive to make every child feel important and accepted, to take pride in everything that they do. I will encourage independence and guide children in developing a sense of self-control. I will try to instill in all children a respect for themselves and the things around them. While responding to the children’s needs and desires I will allow children to discover their environment at their own pace, which will help develop their creativity.
Physical, social, emotional and cognitive development will be enhanced and incorporated through various forms of self- directed play or group activities. I believe in focusing on the teachable moments throughout your child’s day. Children may go outside on a daily basis. They will develop their gross motor skills when they are using the climbing toys, bikes and outside games.
Through observation I may be able to recognize and meet the needs of any child who show signs of special needs, skills, or seem to be acting outside of the typical range of development.
