I've had my in my own home daycare for 17 years. I love getting down on the childs level and playing and talking with them. They constantly amaze me with their way of thinking. I get the children to love bookreading, preschool skills,no one is better than anyone else--we are all friends here. I build friendships that last years. I have my 1st daycare kids graduating within the last couple years and they tell me--You taught me to love reading and i'm still friends with kids I met there. I teach children to use their manners also. Just 2 blocks away is a park we go to a lot on walks. I have patio w/ yard out back that we use chalk writing, basketball, games, scooters, several games and outside activities we do together. Inside lots of toys, activities, puzzles, preschool learning, painting, crafts, access to dvd's but usually too busy playing or learning. Just overall make it fun time for the children to become friends. I make homemade goodies-cookies,breads,etc as i used to be a baker for 16 yrs prior to daycare. Home cooked meals.
Admission conditions
I do have a rat terrier dog but he stays in a bedroom by himself during the day. I don't allow him out with the children. He is my Grandson's pet and I prefer him not to get into a situation with daycare kids --he's a good dog and prefer him not to hurt any child if stepped on.
Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
