My name is Sarah and I'm a licensed 5th grade teacher opening my own preschool and daycare in June. I have my Master's degree in Education and have been involved with schools, teaching, daycares and early childhood programs for over 10 years. My husband and I recently moved to Apple Valley and have a wonderful home we would like to open our business in. Our newly remodeled lower level with full bath will be dedicated to the daycare and I can't wait to welcome families into our home!

Teaching Philosophy:
I believe that children learn best in literacy rich environments through play and hands on experiences. The Mother Goose Curriculum we offer focusses on learning that develops the child as a whole looking at social, emotional, physical and intelectual development. We offer a fun learning environment with manipulatives, BOOKS, themed units, Spanish, group lessons, stories, self-guided play, music and movement, arts enrichment, crafts, science, math, language development and more. My goal is to guide children into the world with a sense of respect for self, others, and to develop a life long love of learning.

There is a parent application and a mandatory interview with parents and child before enrolling at Redwood Gardens. I want all parties involved (parents, children and myself) to feel as comfortable as possible. |
