Happy Hippo is a small DCFS licensed home day care in Deerfield.
I offer a nurturing environment for every child here to have fun, learn and grow. I am a strong believer in attachment parenting and would treat your children as my own. You can feel confident that they will be respected and loved.
I think the one of best part of being a child and being with children is the constant change and learning that is going on. Every day is a chance to discover new things about the world around them and themselves. Since I will keep the number of children in my care low I can individualize the care and activities according to the interests and needs of each child.
We will have two snacks and lunch, which will be healthy and mostly homemade. I am a vegetarian and most of the meals will also be vegetarian based. We eat all whole grains in my home and lots of organic fruits and veggies. Cooking and baking will be a part of the day with the children
I am a mom to two children and have a degree in education. I am excited to open my home to more children. Parents can be confident that their children will be getting lots of personal attention and love while here. They will have lots of time to play and learn. I live in a quiet neighborhood where we can go for walks to parks and the library.
