Description

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your family to Bright Beginnings, LLC in Home Daycare. The purpose of Bright Beginnings is to provide safe, high-quality childcare to families with children between the ages of 6 weeks through 12 years.

Family is very important to us at Bright Beginnings. Although I am the sole owner, my husband Dave, our daughter Addyson and our son Bryce will be a huge part of the daycare. We understand that leaving your child in the care of others can be a difficult decision. Children at Bright Beginnings are nurtured and supported in such a way that promotes positive self-esteem and provides the opportunity for optimal growth in all areas of development. Our philosophy is that all children will be given the opportunity to participate in a wide range of experiences from which to grow. It is our belief that such experiences must be provided in a supportive and nurturing environment, be child oriented, be “hands-on” in approach, and allow children freedom of choice whenever possible.

I have 20 years of experience in working with children of all ages in a counseling setting, teaching environment, and mentor role. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin Stout for Human Development and Family Studies and focused on early childhood and adolescence. After working four years in the field, I returned to school and completed my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in AODA counseling. From 2004 – 2015 I practiced as a psychotherapist and AODA counselor in an outpatient setting. I continue to keep my licenses current. In 2015, my life, goals, and family’s needs were changing and I had an opportunity to participate in Cornell’s afterschool program. I loved it! I love teaching, guiding, building confidence and working with children in general. An opportunity arose for me to start working in a licensed group daycare setting in town. Once I started, I knew this was where I needed to be. However, after some time I realized I wanted to be a licensed in home day care provider so that I would be home more with my family. I feel very blessed to be where I am at in life and have the support of my family to open our home to children in our community.
Admission conditions
The following is required for enrollment:
1. Schedule interview with parents and child or children
2. Review polices together and ask questions, tour of daycare
3. Registration forms and parent/provider contract must be completed before child can attend.
4. One week deposit is required to hold spot and/or enroll. Deposit will be applied to the fees for the last week of care. If you do not take the spot after providing a deposit, the deposit is forfeited.

I recommend the enrollment process include a gradual transition, with:
1. The parent and child visiting the day care together for the first meeting,
2. Parents may choose to visit multiple times together with their child for short periods of time,
3. And/or have the child visiting for a short period of time alone before formally starting care.

All children will be enrolled for a trial period of 2 weeks. During the trial period either the program or parent may terminate child care without advance notice.
