Little Explorer's Family Child Care Program is committed to maintaining a positive learning environment for all children that is safe, healthy, nurturing, supportive, and fun. Focus is place on teaching children self-help skills, self-esteem, self-control, self-expression, self-motivation, and respect through the creative exploration of the child care environment. Within the program, all children are treated fairly, treated as individuals, and treated with respect. It is our goal to meet the social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and moral needs of each individual child. We also focus on preparing preschool age children for Kindergarten. We are proud to say that most of the children who have been part of our program started with us as infants, and have stayed with us until they have had to move on to Kindergarten. Having the opportunity to teach these children for five or more years is an amazing experience. Although this program is our home, we treat is as a school, and all of the children know our home as their school. We opened our home to teaching children with the goal of giving them a positive and structured start to life.
Our program offers a consistent and predictable daily routine for the children, and daily written reports to parents for each child. We provide a monthly calendar with weekly curriculum themes each month, provide breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack, have a children's playroom/classroom, live within walking distance to the Brookfield School, have a smoke free home, and have several letters of reference available, waiting to be shared. |
