We offer full time, part time, drop in, evening, night and weekend child care.
Young children learn through a balanced program of play and structured learning activities. Children need to explore, experiment, and make discoveries for themselves through their play experiences in order to make sense of themselves, each other and the world. Additionally, children need to acquire basic academic skills to prepare them for school. Almond Tree provides opportunities for meaningful play and acquisition of basic skills based on the child’s individual needs, interests and abilities.
We provide a balanced program that consists of guided playtimes and structured times. Our day program consists of a theme-based curriculum gives our children many opportunities to practice and consequently master basic skills thereby laying the foundation for future learning. Some of these skills are taking turns, sharing, cooperating, expressing needs, listening, following instructions, identifying colors, shapes, counting, letters, phonics, basic math & reading, large & small motor coordination, sorting, sequencing, table manners and much more. In addition, we go on community trips & enjoy Prospect Park as much as possible, weather permitting.
