I am a 30 year old wife/mother of 2 school age children who attend Three Chopt Elementary School. I operated a D.O.D licensed daycare several years ago while my family was stationed overseas in Germany (Army). Upon returning to the States, I re-entered the working world as a Railroad Logistics Analyist (Eww & Ugh!). A few months ago, my husband and I made the decision for me to go back to the job I love - children.
I intend to keep my group small - to provide individualized care & my home is not big enough for a large group.
I maintain a safe and healthy learning environment. My play based curriculum teaches the basic skills and stimulates creativity in a non structured pressure free manner. Most of our days are filled with lots of fun projects, singing, and laughter. Our children are encouraged to believe in there own strengths and build self-esteem. I provide all meals and snacks, however, parents must provide formula, breast milk, and baby food. I encourage breastfeeding mothers to have "drop in" nursing sessions if they desire. We play outside/go for walks everyday, weather permitting. Both my front and rear yard are fenced. I will be purchasing a swing set for the back yard in the next couple weeks (as soon as they go on sale).
