Description

Hempfield Family Child Development Center is a small, privately owned and family oriented daycare.

Children are encouraged to make choices, exercise their creativity, actively explore their environment and engage in directed learning as they gain knowledge acquisition.

Toddlers are encouraged to explore through their senses and motor skills, develop positive social skills and acquire independence.

Preschoolers continue to work on these goals as well as more specific kindergarten readiness skills, such as classifying, sequencing, and creative problem solving. Children are given opportunities to take initiative, develop their natural curiosity and explore ideas through in depth projects.

We believe children learn to become self disciplined through adult modeling and guidance. By providing a caring, safe and secure environment, children can practice decision making, problem solving, and conflict resolution. Emphasis is placed on building a child’s self esteem, which in turn increases their independence, self confidence, self control and ultimately self discipline.

The center has met the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare regulations for Child Care Centers, accepts CCIS subsidized enrollments, and exceeds many state standards for quality care.
