I obtained services from this non-profit daycare center and I find that:

"In the past 3 weeks my super kind 4 year old daughter has been targeted by the new director Nicole Flournoy at Deep Run Child Development Center on Three Chopt Rd. My daughter attended this school from October 2017 until yesterday June 7, 2019. By no means was my daughter always on her best behavior. In the almost 2 years she attended this school, she had a bit more than a handful of behavior reports, mostly due to the struggles she was going through in recently separated home. Since time has passed, she has gotten much better and the past 6 months she was doing great. Until Nicole Flournoy stepped into the school to replace Heidi as director. In the past 3 or so weeks, Nicole has called myself and my daughter's father almost non stop about issues with Norah. In the last 2 or 3 weeks, they removed Norah from school about 4-5 times. In all of those instances, the school was unable to provide documentation detailing what happened, before, during and after. The director emailed advising that she would start working on the documentation a few days ago, just days prior to then expelling her. Absolutely nothing was given to us for the issues that the school decided were so extreme that this 4 year old needed to be removed on multiple occasions. After about 2 weeks of these incidents, the director decided that maybe she should create an escalation process for the school and begin a new remediation process with my daughter. Your school has no escalation process nor remediation process for when kids act out and can't handle their emotions in a classroom environment? Two days later, the director expelled her from school. I keep using the word school, and it's truly just a daycare front for a church. Most of the staff lack proper education, including the new director Nicole. The only person with a 4 year degree is Heidi, the previous director who still works there, who we were told was forced to be quiet on what transpired with our daughter. The staff, pastor, and director watched as my daughter pulled books off shelves, dumped toys on the floor, threw toys and other objects, knocked down 20 heavy chairs, dumped a box of dvds on the floor. Just watched, on separate occasions. They made the decision to watch and not stop the child. This would of course become a game to a 4 year old, which is why she kept doing it. They got what they wanted, it became a game. When they told her to stop, she laughed. Whether out of nervousness or out of trying to get them to smile. This school is an embarrassment to this city. Don't bring your children here. Do the research I should have done to take your child to a reputable school that can guide and teach students emotional and social skills in a classroom environment."
