St. Alban's offers quality childcare for children aged 0 to 5 years old in Coconut Grove and South Miami. As a Head Start program, there are 140 slots available for children aged 3-5 to receive free kindergarten services. Through Child Development Services (CDS) and Voluntary Pre Kindergarten (VPK) it may be possible that the cost to the parent will be reduced.
Our full day program begins as early as 7:AM and continues to 6:PM. Breakfast, a hot lunch and snack are provided to all children daily. Using the High Scope method of teaching, all children learn according to their unique abilities. Daily classroom activities focus on early literacy, math, science, creative arts, socio emotional growth and physical education (fine and gross motor skills). Monthly parent meetings/trainings are held to help families strengthen their parenting skills and remain informed of what is happening in the classroom. Field trips are included. Since 1949 our staff have been serving the community. All teachers are certified and look forward to spending the day with your child.
Admission conditions
Any child, all abilities aged 6 weeks to five years old.
