We offer a small preschool and a larger school age program. We are fully licensed by the State of California. Our focus is to provide lots of hands on learning experiences for children. Learning should be fun and a natural by-product of well-planned "play" activities. Both our programs have a strong emphasis on "natural" education with lots of outdoor time.
For preschool, we offer a structured, stimulating and fun environment. All activities are age appropriate. Children are helped to learn social skills and self help skills. Older preschool children are offered lots of opportunities for kindergarten preparation using techniques and activities that make learning fun. Our preschool ratio averages one adult per seven preschoolers (much lower than state requirements or most preschools).
For school age children, we offer a structured, comfortable, exciting and nurturing environment. Children are given lots of opportunity for "free explore time" where they choose the activities they want to be involved in. Teachers arrange activities that explore the areas of nature, science, cooking, hobbies, art and much more. We enhance what children learn in school. We also provide homework support. We provide transportation to our center from the local elementary schools. Our school age ratio averages one adult per 10 children.
Our school age program provides after school care as well as a full day summer/school break program. The summer program includes weekly field trips related to weekly themes. Most themes are related to natural science (i.e. rocks, animals, ocean science to name a few). We' re special and unique, just like your child!
