Small in-home childcare is better than large care ‘centers’ and getting more positive support by a lot of doctors and child development specialists.
But they all agree - the provider should be licensed!
To be licensed, they had to take classes on Child CPR and First Aid, pass an in-home safety inspection and will be inspected in the future. They are finger printed and their background is checked for “Child Abuse”.
Some join organizations such as O.C.C.C.A. - Orange County ChildCare Association and join one of many food reimbursement programs which ensure the food your child is offered meets minimum nutritional requirements.
