Being a parent myself, I know that it is very important for parents to find a person who is responsible, friendly and trustworthy when looking for childcare. I'm sure that you will find all these qualities within me.
My husband Matthew and I have been married since February 07.
We have one son, named Dylan, who is currently 4 years old.
I have worked in a number of different daycare centers both here in Alaska and abroad. The Alaska daycares I have worked at are Sunshine School (in 2003-2004), combined Gingerbread House and Carousel Daycare centers together (in 2000). Out of state I have worked at La Petite Academy daycare in Florida (2001-2002). I have also taken college classes and Child Care Connection classes in child care and plan to continue that education. I also was a Sunday school teacher (1998-2000, 2006) and babysitter (1993-2006). I also had my own home daycare where I cared for a total of five children at a time in Anchorage.
So I am very experienced in caring for children of all ages and needs. Please note that I am not a babysitter, but an educator and caregiver of a family daycare.
At first, you and your child may need to adjust to a new environment and routine. Therefore, if I can be of any assistance to you as a working parent, please let me know. I hope that you will be able to look upon me as both a friend and a caregiver for your child.
At my daycare, we welcome any new ideas!
Feel free to speak up or even take a peek at us from time to time.
Once Again, Welcome Aboard!
Amanda
