I met with this family / home daycare and I find that:

"For starters THIS IS NOT A LICENSED HOME DAYCARE. SHE DOES NOT MEET STATE REQUIREMENTS. This is more like a babysitter maybe? Not a legally operating home daycare program. About 3 weeks ago my husband and I met Anne and toured her home daycare. She was very COVID-19 worried (which is completely understandable) but she made me feel a bit pressured to get vaccinated in order for my son to start care (which originally was not one of her requirements)
We agreed to the vaccinations, she also asked for us to submit paperwork in order for him to start such as a physical, shot records and insurance information. Which I think is okay other than the fact that she isn’t licensed or certified from the state. She provided us with paperwork it looked like she printed off of the internet. We went out of our way to get his pediatrician to fill out these forms.
Anne’s communication is terrible and I mean this in the best way possible.
She doesn’t call back, she doesn’t text back, she doesn’t check in. She could honestly careless.
We would have to double-triple text for a response and she never answers any calls.
For you to not be an accredited program and you’re operating out of your home you really should have the communication skills down to part because how are parents suppose to feel comfortable with leaving their children with you?
The week my son was suppose to start we pushed it back for another week due to my husbands work orders. We checked with Anne to make sure that was okay with her she responded that she couldn’t guarantee the spot (which is totally understandable) so we decided to allow him to start as originally scheduled but then she completely stopped responding. No calls no text? No anything....
if you have moved forward and filled the spot wouldn’t you think it’s professional to let us know?
Anne has the absolute worse communication skills I’ve ever encountered and I to have worked in the child care industry. She doesn’t even text back once a day. For example I texted her on May 4th she didn’t reply I had to follow up on May 12th to only receive “??”
Her prices is what reeled us in but for the safety of my child and my family’s comfort I rather pay more. My child was never made a priority to her, we expressed that we were a military family and she wasted our time. We moved forward with another program."

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
